Game
You have an RV, a map and a very long way to go. That is the whole pitch. There is a clutch you will stall constantly and a vehicle that sheds parts if you look at it wrong. We lost the roof before we even left the campsite.
It is clunky and there are bugs. But the clunk is the point, the same way it was in Goat Simulator, and the game keeps pulling new nonsense out of its sleeve. Bears. Snakes in the cabin. A winch that only works with a remote you will drop on the floor and lose. Twice.
The checkpoints are spaced far enough apart that wrecking the RV genuinely hurts. We laughed for two hours straight. That probably says more than the score does.
Co-op
Nothing here works with one pair of hands. Someone drives while someone else hammers the engine back together. Someone anchors the winch poles, someone runs the cable. Get the timing wrong and you drag your friend under the wheels.
Sitting inside the RV is oddly pleasant, which matters more than it sounds. Most games make the vehicle the boring part. Here it is where the trip actually happens.
Four friends, a couple of beers, absolute nonsense. This is more peak than PEAK, and we will stand by that.
