Game
Craftopia is a colorful survival game that tries to be everything at once.
It's an adventure game where you can discover new regions, farm, craft, automate and so much more.
The graphics are playful and good looking. Making a good first impression. And it feels really promising as it starts of as an adventure game where you soon discover more and more things to unlock and build.
But after a while it starts to become ridiculous. It feels like the developers are trying to please all players requests at once. Want a bigger sword? Sure. Wizards spells? Sure. World war II tanks? Sure! Space rockets? SURE!
The game tries to make it feel like you can do anything you want. But in the end, it becomes clear that it doesn't deliver good at any of the features at all.
We feel like we purchased a really basic game and then added 20 mods at the same time, creating a huge mess of a game.
Co-op
Nothing big to complain about here. You can play up-to eight players on one server and progress through the game together just as you expect.
Game levels are split up with loading time between them. But nothing major.
